Cookies policy
Only strictly necessary cookies are used by default. Optional cookies are never set before you allow them, and you can change your choice at any time.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website can place on your device. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in much the same way. They can remember a preference or keep a form session secure between page loads.
2. Your choices and our consent banner
When you first visit, a consent banner appears with three clear controls: Accept all, Reject non-essential and Manage preferences. Optional cookies and optional browser storage are not set, and no optional script is loaded, unless and until you actively allow them. Rejecting optional cookies leaves the full website usable.
Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie named mrs_consent for 6 months, after which you will be asked again. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences button in the footer of every page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
3. Categories we operate
| Category | Status | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Always active (no consent required) | Session security, protection of the enquiry form against automated abuse, and remembering your cookie choice. |
| Analytics | Optional — off unless you allow it | Anonymous measurement of page usage. No analytics tool is installed at present, so nothing is loaded even if you allow this category; your recorded choice would be respected if one were added. |
We operate no advertising, profiling, retargeting or social media categories, because we use none.
4. Cookies and storage actually in use
| Name | Category | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Strictly necessary | This website (first party, set by PHP on your own hosting) | Keeps your enquiry-form session secure and carries the anti-forgery token that protects the form. | Until you close your browser |
| mrs_consent | Strictly necessary | This website (first party) | Records the cookie choice you made so we do not ask again and so optional categories stay switched off unless allowed. | 6 months |
That is the complete list. No other cookie is set by this website, and no optional browser storage is written.
5. Third-party requests
Typeface files are requested from Google Fonts when a page loads, which means Google may log your IP address as part of serving those files. This sets no cookie on our site. If you prefer the website to make no third-party request at all, the two font files can be hosted on your own domain and the font link removed from includes/header.php; the README explains how.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and clear local storage through the same site-data controls. Blocking the session cookie will prevent the enquiry form from working; you can still contact us by email or telephone. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all explain how to manage site data.
